Noticed it last night, looks a good buy rebuild only 20k ago, been in storage. It looks like it needs tax and mot though, but it was on £1500 when i saw it. Shame it didn\'t come up a few weeks earlier I\'m in Cyprus now :(
P.s. If someone buys it please put a twin system back on it!
Been down to see it, even though the rebuild was done 20k ago it was 2002...The paint has heavily suffered from oxidation and would need a full paintjob!
Bad news that\'s a shame it looked good in the pics.

Where were you a few weeks ago? I live in Cyprus now and I\'ve given up looking over here they are double the price of uk rex\'s and road tax is â,¬500 per year! And to get a full rebuild out here it\'s â,¬6000! Mental figures for RX7 owners in cyprus! I\'m going to buy a 323 GT-R now instead I think.
Cheers though mate! Glwts
i bought this car apart from the fade there wasnt anything wrong with it, few niggles but nothing major going to put a twin system back on soon drives very nice wasnt bad at 1500 at the end of the day its red thats 22 years old and apart from the pain fade its a good solid car. my misses 1999 corsa in red is pink and worse than this + polished it and it dont look too bad.
also the yes it was 2002 when the engine was rebuilt but its done 20k sence and has been sat for 3 years went strait threw mot 1 advisery of the power steering pipe is corroded but its a power steering pipe so not a mojor concern at the mo.
when my power steering pipe went i just replaced it with a few hose\'s and an oil cooler. much easier than fitting another !
yer i do have a iol cooler and pipes that i can make fit im just not too bothered as its only power steering, things like full underseal, oil changes, sp changes, and genral engine tydying like new rad (not that it needs one but a uprated rad wont hurt it) and new air filter as its only got a cheap apexi copy so going to put my full direct air feed one on and stuff like that then the power steering leaks drive it for a few months then finish the mods to bring up to 300bhp then will be for full re spray.
half that list is being done as we speak oils and underseal and air filter is all done.
only had it sence last night lol
Any pics of it? :cool
Yeah get some pics of it. And you\'ll have earned big respect from me for putting a twin system back on her.
ill get some pics on here of her on monday once i have finished all of the work i wanna get done to her.
list of work so far.
central locking pass door sticking fixed
first lift up on sunroof sticking fixed (lack of use)
Power steering pipes replaced with pipes and cooler (leak got worse rusty pipes only on the cooler part though)
Electric twin rad fans installed and engine fan removed
air filter setup replaced with direct cold feed
battery relocated to spare wheel hole (removed spare wheel and 2 tyre inflaters inplace)
fully undersealled + arch liners removed and undersealled behind (only temp when exhaust is removed will do all the underneath behind heat shelds ect and when clutch and fly are replaced will do behind the box)
all oils, sp and coolant replaced (just to be safe good now for a few months as only gets used at weekends)
bov replaced with new blitz bov and turned around so now doesnt hit the intake pipes
reverce light selinoid replaced now working reverce light
short ....er installed
turbo timer
apexi boost controler
next is stereo to be fitted and speakers to be replaced (not going mad amps ect just stereo and speakers from my mr2.)
(then pos leather seats to be fitted but got to pick them up)
next month
fuel pump
intercooler
uprated rad
twin exhaust
july-august (depending on delivery of parts)
ecu
exhaust manifold
turbo
job done
then will be paint left to tidy with pos front bumper replacement
as said will get pics for monday so you can see most of the work that has been done. as can see most of te work done so far is just small things to improve rather than coz it needs replacing.
+ injectors lol
Fair play to you mate, its a decent car i just didnt have the time to give it the tlc it needs... The search continues!
has it got a FCD or anything yet? I wouldn\'t play with the boost until you\'ve got something sorted.
Also be weary of the battery location, the spare wheel well is prone to flooding if the drains on the boot arn\'t kept clean, they clog up incredibly easy, tbh i just left the drain plug out of the wheel well on mine just incase.
and dam! you work quick
no not upping the boost or tuching it till the ecu is on as i dont wanna up the boost till its all mapped. the battery sits 4" from the bottom of the well so i can still stoor the tool kit ect and yer i took the drain plug out and undersealed around it all.
yer i work as a mechanic and as my gf is on holiday and i got 4 days to play with thought i would have some fun sorting things before i go on holiday in it in june hence why all the work is being done quickly. will get pics of everything tomorrow.
anyone know how to add pics???
I\'m not sure guests can host pic\'s on here mate. I use photobucket and then use the image code in my posts. The pic\'s are bigger that way too.
oh thats anoying. lol
