Title: Surprise Surprise Air Pump Q with picture
Post by: silversurfer111 on April 13, 2011, 02:56:09 PM
Hi Guys,

Just wondering what is the best thing to do with the black rubber pipe that is disconnected and the lack of a pipe coming off the air pump?

Should i cap them or try and t-piece them into the HKS filters?? Have not been able to get under the car properly or raise it but i am 90% sure the cat is still in. Its a 96 model with PFC, FMIC, HKS Drager muffler and HKS filters.

Thanks in advance :)

I\'d keep the right pipe ino a filter (it sucks air in).
The other hose is the return, which is normally onto the filter too. I capped that off near the UIM, and drilled some holes in the cap. That way it won\'t make the annoying MOO sound, and still releases unspent air.

Hi Kenji,

Thank you for the help, just to clarify cap the black rubber pipe as close to the UIM and attach the 90 degree pipe coming from the Air Pump into the filters. Is this correct ?

Thank you again much appreciated, it\'s lashing rain so will only get to it tomorrow now.Baaah!!

:Thumbs-up

Plug the airpump with a filter like this if it\'s easier.

I currently have mine attached to a breather filter like the one shown above, no issues, although I will probably now plumb it into my RE-A filter as there are air pump holes for it :)
