before av even begun ..the battery in the cars is flat . as i connected it anyway i noticed the siselights are stayin on even though they are switched off. any one any ideas?itchin to get it on the road..
Are the lights on even if the ignition is turned off ?
My old B reg had the side lights on whenever the ignition was on a bit like the Volvo day running lights, to turn them off there is a connector on the back of the little cubby hole above the clock. Pull the cubby hole out and disconnect the connector.

Could it be that the stalk switch needs cleaning or worst case replacing?

Sounds like the light stalk/switch or a relay to me.
And to me. Does the switch feel right, nice and clicky when you twist it?
sprayed the switch with wd40, but i noticed theres a parking light switch on top off the cowling with 3 stages and bingo the lights went off . pmsl
