Just see the thread on how much a glass sun roof goes for and wondered if any one would want a swap for a carb and mainfold.
48 ida and manifold
45 weber and manifold
if not then the sunroof will have to go on ebay in two weeks to fund the carb.
cheers vin
dont worry if i dont get back to you for a couple of weeks

The best of luck Vin.
Cliff
cheers cliff, it would have been good to do a deal with some one for a carb, but needs must and all.cheers vin
Used Ida\'s are very scare i have one on my car and had a hell of a job getting parts and bits for it take my advice and buy a new one gary
Thanks for that, i was looking at buying a new carb and it looks like a 45 weber now. Thinking about it a new carb is the way to go unless you can see a second hand one running you could end up with a pile of poo.
Why not try a holley there more like the original carb

I suspect I am to late, but is the glass sunshine roof for a Gen 1 and is it for sale, if so what price would you be looking at?
If i am too late sorry to have bothered you

I\'d hazard a guess it\'ll go for £175>£200
Listing removed,did u sell it?
Quote from: syebba;755332Listing removed,did u sell it?
Only removed in the last few minutes so Vin must have done a deal - perhaps an carb materialised?I missed one last year that went for £256ish so at least £230 I would have thought if it had stayed through to the end.
looks like ebay ended it for some reason???

I never thought of that one.
Don\'t tell gary at rotary art how much glass roofs go for,he has them listed at approx £50 when in stock, which they never are!
I am in thailand at the moment but it is still on my account as for sale here is the item no- 250801440688
I never end an item or sell out side of ebay

Sorry about that Dibs - got interrupted by work (how inconsiderate they are).Ye £181 - as Lacey says, a bit less than I expected it to go for but in saying that with the end time of 5am :Snoring not many people around then so it could possibly have gone for more. ps - welcome home, nice time?
seems to be the average price they are fetching lately
Collected mine from friends in Cheshire last Friday. (Ex The Nantwich Breakers Yard).
Fitted this morning......After cleaning 10 yearsworth of crap off, the glass is A1, bolt heads want a bit of primer/black gloss when I get round to taking \'em out, that\'s all.
Complete with Solarglass and Safetyglass Kite markings, plus still got the old S2 Reg etched into it.
So we know positively that S2 and S3 are identical. (S1 we always knew was different).
I owe big time to you-who-helped-me on here. You know who you\'se is Cliff.
Ahggggh....going loopy.....the Red car in Nantwich was actually an S3 so nothing proved....sorry folks.
Still big thanks though \'cos my buy has been super.

I have 2 glass rooves with no providence so couldn\'t confirm either way BUT in saying this I am 100% certain that they are interchangeable - to do a design change on the roof would have been so rediculous for any manufacturer, it wasn\'t as if there was an issue with the S2 roof in the first place, they made it as large as practical! I think the only change (if any) was to make the roof section completely removeable.

I predict them right every time Stu - it\'s just that they keep coming out in the wrong order! :(
Must say i was happy with what it made, the reason for the wrong finishing time was i was in thailand and i got my times mixed up when i listed it, In my head i had it finishing at 10pm sunday night.
Still not being greedy and the bloke who won it has bought it for his dad as a gift as he has been after one for ages and seems a good bloke.

Don\'t get me wrong Vin, it is a good price and for something that was an extra just has to be a bonus mate! :)
now been picked up.
