did this come in all egi\'s?

top hose goes to the radiator and underneath that cap is another hose, and that goes to the expansion bottle
I will have a look tonight. Honestly can\'t remember at the moment.

Just noticed you have the amazing OEM BATTERY COVER yay lol they are uber rare :D
so i should remove it and put it in a bank safe deposit box then haha
also, what mods/upgrades can i do on an egi? i have a spec\'d out tii and dont need another one. just tryn to see what i can do with this one without going to crazy.
my egi has hi flow filter(see first pic) and exhaust, has anyone swapped out ignition parts? would it help to swap the stock canister coils for some MSD blaster 2 units? any other thoughts or ideas are welcome
thanks
here are a few more pics of the car

I think most of the EGI upgrades involve the header and exhaust system, you can get some 6 port sleeve inserts for the internals to smooth flow, but its pretty much exhaust mods, perhaps look at changing the rubber intake pipe to a metal one and maybe creating a cold air box around the air filter as open filters like that draw in hot air from the engine bay which reduces power. Other thank a few things like that its mainly big porting, it depends what you want it for really :)
Oh, just noticed you are running OEM HT leads, change those out for some uprated ones, the HT leads are a disposable item, especially if they are original, swapped mine for some uprated ones on my TII and there was a difference!
Also if you are drifting please get an uprated radiator with electric fans, you need a switch to turn the fans on when doing runs as air isn\'t going in the front of the car anymore when you are going sideways! most engines die due to ancillary failure like fueling or cooling.
tried getting a haynes manual for this with no luck. what is everyone using? i have fsm manuals but for US spec, does not have dizzy and coil canisters info in it.
it has a welded on it, so yes i will be driftn it SOME. only until i get my white fc figured out. this red one is in good condition so will try to keep it that way. but still wanna try and squeeze some fun/power out of it alittle:) i do have a duel pass radiator that will be going in this fc, so thats dealt with. so halfords for HT leads distro cap and rotors then?
the US doesnt have this setup so working with it is new to me. so any and all help with this ignition setup would be greatly appreciated
There is a haynes manual for it, although its for LHD, so you just need to swap bits to the other side of the car for a few items, but they would work the same etc, I think there are a few copies of the work shop manual floating around though, but not very common.
Don\'t go to Halfords for HT leads, you need some Magnecor leads or simular, I have some spare ones for an FD, but I think they would be too short, here are the turbo II ones:

Can any EGI guys/girls help out with fitment of these leads on an EGI
oh ok...so any fc leads will work. what about the leads from dizzy to coil canisters?
would swapn out the coils for something like this help at all?
http://www.summitracing.com/parts/MSD-8203/
I would need someone with an EGI to confirm what HT leads work best, I have a turbo II
You might be able to get away with just changing the HT leads, I can\'t confirm 100% what the best setup for an EGI is though unfortunatly
Aha i thought i recognized that rx7 from somewhere!
used to run a racing beat header with baffles removed on the engine, full through exhuast, no air pump and ran a k&n pannel filter.
Driven a number of egi\'s none of which have come close to the power of mine. Also I found some slight perfromance increaces going from a cone filter with cold air feed etc to a pannel filter.
Tbh thats about as good as egi\'s get tbh. They\'re great cars, always tempted to buy another!
im completely happy with this car, have no complaints at all. just tryn to see if theres anything else i can do to make it more fun
Straight through exhaust and a friendly MOT man for emissions is your best bet with the EGI, there are other random things you can do but not much that doesn\'t come without a hefty expense. Try and get / make a cold air box around your filter, will help wonders. :)
cool thanks for all the ideas
but did anyone else have whats in the 2nd pic i posted in their egi?
Doh, forgot to check last night :(
As for cold air, I have just fitted a replacement headlight cover on the drivers side, which has an air scoop to feed cold air towards the filter. Came with the car so thought I would give it a try.
As for other worthwhile mods, the car handles a lot better with uprated anti roll bars. I had these on my first EGI and when I bought Brett\'s I noticed a big difference without them. Have since swapped them onto my new one and it is definately much better.
Some Hawk pads and braided hoses also improved the braking by a fair bit.
Will try and remember to look tonight.
