Hi everyone. My real name is Mike Storey but generally I\'m known as Supersub on most forums etc. Have not yet joined the club (only the forum) but will be doing so once I sort out suitable vehicle.
Will update my profile over the next few days but suffice to say I am a retired pensioner having fortunately got out before they started telling me I should work until I am 70.
Currently own a 1990 Scimitar SST 1800Ti and a 1996 Vauxhall Omega 2.5 CDX Estate. So why have I joined?
Suddenly got the urge today to look for a replacement for the Omega which, although I really love it (big, lazy, great cruiser and handles really well), it is just too big for my wife and I. Although the Scim is a fantastic "point & shoot" pocket rocket (0-60 in under just under 7 sec, top speed around 130mph) it is somewhat basic when it comes to ride and creature comforts for everyday use. Especially for my old bones anyway! Therefore wanting something with similar performance to it but more refined my thoughts have turned to something I hankered for many years ago. A 1st generation RX7 - preferably a series III.
Now I know that I should really post this in the "Wanted" area but will take the opportunity to outline my requirements in this post. Since I am unable to undertake a "resto" project (lack of working area & some arthritis in joints) I am looking for a good condition car preferably with full service history. Although my annual mileage is now small it will still be my daily runner so usability rather than concours is high on my list. Initial search on the internet today has not thrown up much.
My knowledge re RX7\'s & rotary engines is minimal so would appreciate any help and info that you can offer in my search especially with regard common faults, general running costs re servicing, spares etc. as well as price to pay for a suitable vehicle.
Apologies if I have rambled on a bit. I will try to keep it brief in future posts.

I fancy myself as the record keeper in the 1st Generation Section. Because of that I have lots of info about cars that have been for sale over the last months and even years. Some often have not been sold because they\'re \'too good to give away\'. My notes include contact details.
Present prices are low so a good time to buy.

Top prices are £3000 to (maybe) £3500 max for concourse condition at the moment. Most cars are selling for sub £1000, though they will generally need some work.
Have a look into the 1st Generation Forum where most of us live. I\'m a pensioner as well but most I would say are middle age group with some good keen young bloods in there as well. Start with the post \'How many 1st Gens still Running\' and work backwards from the highest page (p115 at the moment?). It covers several years of 1st Gen sales so a good idea can be got.
As said, and always subject to members privacy, I\'ve still got most contact details if you want to do the legwork.
