Think I\'ll keep an eye on this :) If it goes for sensible money it might be a reasonable stop gap for a littel more performance on Rexanne.

Cheers for the heads up Ian.

Wonder is lower manifold included in sale or will it bolt unto ida type manifold

I would almost put money on it that the manifold in the pic is not the correct one for rotary engine. Look at the holes for fixing it to the lower manifold and I thought the manifold didn\'t split for the ports until it was in the lower part. I think its the wrong manifold for the carb in the pic. It should be an ida on that fanimold.

its for a 6 port, bolts on to egi lower manifold. best to save up and buy and IDA and manifold, Works so well on a standard motor with 2 1/2 inch exhaust.

Have any of you guys had any experiences with IDA style throttle bodies? I find my self leaning further and further towards the idea.

Never had a problem with starting mine. I just let the pump build up pressure. 2 pumps on the throttle and away it goes.

As for the throttle bodies, never used them but I would like to.

Must admit the noise of the IDA is worth having alone:cool

Just to add  apparently a side draft type carb leads to a torquer motor hope that\'s spelt correctly but all my experience is with the ida

Would the side draft generally lead to torque lower down the rev range purely because of its longer intake runners rather than the carb itself?

That\'s it. I considered using one on the westy so I didn\'t have to cut a hole in the bonnet for the air cleaner.

also ment to say that a ida is a very simple carb
