Post by: mrh1 on March 18, 2011, 10:40:47 PM
Hi,
Sorry if this has already been asked or I have put it in the wrong section.
Can anyone recommand a good garage/[FONT="]independent specialist in the southwest area, I live in Weston-Super-Mare 20 miles south of Bristol.
I\'m looking to buy my first RX7 but need to find someone who know\'s what there doing.
Thanks in advance.
Regards,
Martin

Have you tried Dragon?
http://www.dragonperformance.co.uk/

They have built some prity impresive RX7\'s and there only about a hour away from you.

Good question.
Im in the same boat as you as im going to be looking for a FD in a couple of months and also live in weston.
I checked out Dragon and they looked pretty good and i think i\'ll use them for servicing ect.

I think its worth travelling to places with a good rep though, Drove a couple hundred miles for engine conversions before.

There is a Mazda dealer in Clevedon, don\'t know if there any good with older RX7\'s, but i guess it would be the second choice if you couldn\'t get the car down to Dragon..

Not always the case, i worked at Mazda as a tech for 3 years and sorted a few Fd\'s/fc\'s out. The senior tech knew quite a bit about them as well and we used to have quite regular customers.

I popped to that clevedon dearler in my lunch break a few weeks ago to see about servicing.
The guy at the desk gave me a price and then asked wether i would be interested in a finance deal on a new rx8.

Needless to say i would rather travel abit then leave my car there. Once ive made a purchase that is!
