About the tsunami in Japan, a second for our friend there :(
Be strong, you\'re not alone.
still waiting to hear from my brother and family in chiba, very worried. my thoughts are with all of the japanese people.
same same, waiting to hear back form people in Toyko (earthquake & fires) and Chiba (tsunami / major flooding) =(
:( keep in touch, hope all goes well.
heard back from family in sakura (chiba) and brother in centrral tokyo. Very shaken up but thankfully safe and sound.
:Thumbs-up
My best mate\'s brother is married to a japanese girl and has family there. Just heard from him and luckily they are all ok. Does look terrible on the news and when you hear them saying that the wave is going to hit other places at a certain time it does make it even more scary for the people there knowing its coming and there\'s nothing they can do :(

Our thoughts are with everyone and their families who are caught in this awful disaster and in the surrounding countries.
We have emailed Miguel (Newera Imports) this morning to see if he is OK and are awaiting a reply.
I also emailed Miguel and Russ Gander this morning but not heard anything as yet. I dare say there\'s a lot of problems with communication at the moment.
It\'s a terrible situation though and my thoughts are with everyone who\'s out there.
Pleased to report that Miguel has mailed me and his family, friends and Miguel himself are all O/K.:Thumbs-up
Sadly the world is going to be a very different place after this huge tragic disaster that is still unfolding with a terrible loss of lives
finally got reply from my business partner in japan and they all ok. i guess inform me better alte than never. not sure how bad the damage in chiba is.
glad all loved ones are safe...
lets hope these aftershocks calm down too
Every time i put Sky News on, it gets worse and worse! Talk of perhaps the death rate rising to 10,000 +.
I know there are quite a few on here with links in Japan, perhaps even family, thoughts are with you and all affected, i truly cant believe the destruction and horrific images i have seen.
I\'ve seen some footage and it\'s all been horrific, more like images from a film with the level of destruction being caused. So yeah, I too extend my thoughts to those effected.
EDIT
Just read that the figure of 10000 is for the Miyagi region alone, two nuclear power stations damaged and people exposed to radiation just awful.

In this digital age we get to see so much more than before - live streaming of the tsunami, webcams, video phones etc I\'m not sure if it\'s good or bad? Years ago we could only imagine the horrors from people\'s stories, now we get to live through it in real-time.
It must be devastating to lose everything and with so many casualties - plus all those people who are still unaccounted for. My heart goes out to them all - makes you realise how lucky we are in the UK.
To all the friends
As you know, A huge earthquake and tsunami struck northern part of Japan on March 11. My family, my friends and myself are all safe because we are living in Tokyo. But uncountable numbers of people are still suffering from serious trouble and inconvenience there. Please be in prayers for them.
Good to hear you and your family are all ok.
Adam
Glad to hear you are all ok.
Think all of our prayers are with everyone effected by this.

This is supposed to help those who have friends and family in affected area\'s, though I can\'t vouch for whether it\'s any good, as I don\'t know anybody to look for.
Hope this is of use to one or two of you.
just watched this clip, there really is nothing they can do but watch the devastation sadly.

Yesterday I received the sad news that a good friend of mine was killed in the quake/tsunami.
He was only 27 years old.
Rest in peace, Taro. You will be missed.
The brother of my classmate also did not make it and we are still waiting to hear from the rest. It is very sad news :(
