Title: Help removing instrument dash panel
Post by: zizther on March 11, 2011, 12:11:00 AM
Hi,

I was wondering if any could tell me how to remove the instrument dash panel / housing. Does it  detatch from the rear / dome piece behind it or does that come off as one?

Thanks

The dome is attached to the front gauge cluster with screws, the dome is only clipped into the dash and so pulls out with/when the gauge unit/face is removed via screws.

Its very easy to remove lower screws and one to right hand side (behind side panel with vent), then will come loose enough to identify the remaining screws (cant remember if any to left hand side). wiggle & pull when loose slightly raising up as you pull to release the back clips on dome.....

..remove the indicator/steering wheel cowel and cover this with cloth as you will end up scratching the facia on it otherwise. As above and then its get your hands behind the instrument cluster to unclip the cables ..one ..by ..one :Tongue1
