Post by: MintyFresh on June 08, 2004, 11:06:03 AM
These are the figures that blitz have given me on the 2 turbo\'s they can supply.

It means nothing to me, so can someone in the know shed some light please?

K6-900R (900PS flow rate)

or

K5-700R (700PS flow rate)

cheers

It means they\'re quite big

What\'s your budget for this \'performance\' work, all in?

The budget is big!

Big as in T88 big, or or not quite.  I want a big turbo, but i also want spool up to be before 5000rpm.

Dont worry about budget, i\'ll sort that, but what is the recomended turbo kit for someone wanting 350-450bhp?

350-450 doesnt need a T88. Max has made 360atw at least than 1 bar boost on a GT35R.

I would seriously think about having your motor looked over first as a) you\'ll be gutted if u waz £10k on a turbo and ancillaries only to have your motor poo itself after 5 minutes (and taking out your turbine in the process!), and b) you\'ll struggle to make that kinf of power on stock ports any how.

I would say that the 700ps turbo would be the better option but is the turbo for a rotary? If not the turbine maybe too small. You always need a smaller turbine on the piston engines than rotor motors. Also if a turbo will make X amount of power on a piston engine then it will make less on a rotary.
Kind regards
