?? Why ??

The buzzer sounds when you hit some thing like 7250-7500rpm - what speed that is will vary from car to car due to the accuracy of speedo and what diff gearing you have e.g. 3.9, 4.1 or 4.3...

110 in 3rd?

If you do a search I found a link a while back showing what resistors to change to move the point of the change up buzzer.  My buzzer starts at 7k, which I found somewhat tiring on track - where changing up around 8k.  There is a rev limiter around 8k that you will bounce off of if you ignore the buzzer, but it is not regarded as being good for the car.

I\'m pulling 105 at 8k, with my slightly raised rev limit could reach a fraction under 110 if I took it to the limiter, so it is feasible, but probably more mechanically sympathetic to use 4th ;)  My old westie was running out of 4th gear around the ton, so the FD gearing is intergallatic in comparison :D nice not to be in 3rd gear within 60\' of launching the car :rollin
