Title: poor acceleration
Post by: fly on June 07, 2004, 11:42:50 PM
from a standing start....   there seems to be no turbo activity when accelerating hard away from traffic lights etc, although acceleration in 2nd or 3rd from low revs/ low speed the turbo seems to kick in about 4500rpm, but isnt exactly smooth and the power that it generates seems to vary greatly.

Recently had the 2nd turbo actuator replaced as it was worn out , also had a full engine rebuild in feb, ive done about 2500 miles since the rebuild so the engine should be settled in by now, wondering if the it could be the turbo system itself thats on the blink....if it is whats the kind of price to get it replaced/repaired with another standard turbo etc?

I dont have a boost gauge so cant tell what boost its running at if at all, might get one in the future, could prove to be more than just a fancy gadget :)

Any help welcome!:(
