Title: FC window stuck
Post by: Skifledanabit on February 28, 2011, 01:46:02 AM
Ok, quick answer needed, my window won\'t go up, there\'s power going to the motor as it goes down fine, there\'s just no power to push it up, it doesn\'t even sound like it\'s making a full circuit, I can\'t hear any electrical labouring or anything.

Could it be a faulty/corroded switch? What should I check and how do I rectify it?

Sounds like the window switch if you can\'t hear the motor.

Otherwise it\'s mechanical

Is it passenger or drivers side?

i took the switch panel off and took a look, the switches were carbonised, all sorted now! but i have found a couple of fixes to make them work better

My passenger side can be a bit sluggish, might just need a grease up to make them smooooooth again :)

apparently, grease is not the best way to do it, its only a short term fix... read the link, seems to know what they are on about...
