Hey guys and gals,
A very quick hello and intro about me before I invite you all to a different kinda meet/event
I always wanted an RX7 but back in the days I just couldn\'t afford either the car or the insurance. Then when I got married, as my wife wanted a 4 door car, I tried my luck with the RX8. Alas she just didn\'t like the "feel of it" :2Rolleyes
I\'m currently an RS4 B5 owner (2001 model). However, up until 2003 I was into the Jap scene. I owned 4 Honda\'s on the trot from 1996 to 2003 - Honda CRX 16V in white, CRX Vtec in celestital blue, another CRX Vtec in celestial blue (this one was and still is the love of my life - until it got nicked :( ), and finally a red civic Vti. I was going to buy a Prelude or MR2 turbo after this but was convinced that a change of scene was sorely and long overdue! I then moved onto the Audi scene.
Started with an S2. Great fun car. Then when I got married I had to do the "4 door" thing so after a lot of arguing with my wife, and trying to convince her towards a 4 door RX8 ;) I bought an S4. But my heart had always been on an RS4. But they\'re blooming expensive. But I bartered a deal with my wife that IF a black RS4 were to become available WITH a sunshine roof. And WITH SAT NAV. And WITH a few additional goodies I can have it. My wife thought "no chance one of these would become available.... I now have a black RS4 with all the aforementioned goodies
But TBH after the S4 I almost went back to the Jap scene with a JDM Saloon from Litchfield :D But I got convinced otherwise by a bunch of Audi nutcases!
But my love of Japanese cars is still there. Hence I agreed to help a friend with the meet he\'s arranging.
He\'s going to be arranging a rolling road day - Japanese Vs VAG.
As this is not the appropriate section to post on I\'ll go and post the details in the correct section. Please check it out. It\'ll be a great fun day... and in a way I\'m hoping that some of the Jap cars on the day will lure me back over to the Jap scene
Hi & Welcome to the MRC :driving
Hi mate, thanks for the welcome.
So, are you up for a rolling road compo? :)
