Im thinking of buying a set of mirrors but am wondering how difficult it is to remove the standard mirris and fit the RE-A ones. Does anyone have any ideas?
Cheers
Steve
You\'d need to take the inside door panel off aswell in order to dissconnect the wiring, usally pop out the speaker and you can see the connector. The outside mirror is held in by two screws accessed by twisting the mirror clockwise. Not sure if the Amemiya base plate covers the entire hole left from the standard mirrors, but I\'d assume it would.

Yeah it does cover it.
I thought as much but was wondering if there was any difficult brackets etc that need removing.
This is what they look like on a RX7
Steve if you want a look at a set I\'ll be in aberdeen on wednesday with my car
Nope it\'s pretty straight forward, the only niggle is the connector inside the door.
I thought you meant the CF GT spec ones actually! As I was looking at some last night and thinking how nice they\'d look on my motor!

yep, their are easy to fit!
they took me about 30/40mins to fit them both, the only time consuming bit is getting the door cards on and off.
heres a pic of mine!!
and another!
Looks good. Can I ask where you got them from?
Whats the view from them like?
The best fd wing mirrors in my opinion.
