Just given it a wash, thought it would scrub up well with a bit of cream clenser.
LHD Usa Model? Nice! The rear spoiler is an Elford? It seemes lowered... Right?
I like that :) looks great in that yellow and I do like the s1 bumpers and stuff!
I want that in my life
Nice series 1 Jon...
imported in 1993 ish ?? ex-california car?
the colour suits it... very retro!
Nice one. Where did you get the coil over suspension from if you don\'t mind me asking. Also do you have a roll cage for it.:D
Always liked this car :Thumbs-up
Love it! Got more pics?
Hi Jon. Good to hear from you again.
I think there\'s only your car that\'s an S1 and possibly one other in Southern Ireland that are actually roadgoing at the moment. There\'s 3 other S1 cars complete but they are all rally prepped. That is really remarkable.
There are another 15 on SORN/Unlicensed S1 Project Cars.
Plus a very small number I haven\'t properly managed to ID yet. Did you once say you\'d got some more?
Dave

Yep does look like an Elford rear spoiler & been lowered, nicer mirrors too than uk cars, maybe TWR rear alloys?
Rear rimms seems TWR, confirm. The mirrors are the USA model, also (ex) mine had those. Very small and nice.
It\'s great that all you have to do is give it a big of cif and a clean while others are having to hack rust out.
Just to be really an$l,noticed top tint on windscreen & why\'s it got 2 different alloys on it?
I know why:D
Very nice ! Very rare with the S1\'s
Shaun
Differant wheels for pcd reason. will be making further changes at some stage. Thats the only 7 i have, ive had it 5 years, it remained standard untill last summer, its now pretty rapid.

Little vid. Big ports.
Awesome.
I wish mine looked like that when I opened the bonnet :P
Love that brapping. There will be some interfering with themselves over that. And I think yours will go better than most.
Also interested to know where you got your coilovers/camber adjusts. Nice car mate fair play.
You don\'t have to look to far to find where they came from. Me:cool
Yup thats right, I got them and alot more stuff from my Kiwi cuz.
Thanks for the kind noises guys, Alot of thought and research went into the motor, not a bridgy, its very driveable, although my wife took my 3 year old daughter out one evening, me following in the rx3 with my 2 sons, thinking all would be A OK , she stopped at the end of the road saying it shook them both to bits, my daughter in floods of tears,
I tried explaining that she needed to drive it through the bucking or drop the clutch and rev it, but no go she could not get the hang of it.
It pulls cleanly just bucks at 2k or there abouts. like my 13b in the rx3 it can be driven at 1500 rpm in 5th. my only complaint is its or they are HEAVY, in comparison to the rx3,
and I dont want to go gutting every gram as its a great road car.
They do buck as you say, It\'s a knack to just drop the clutch at the right moment then pick it up again.
My wife drove our standard S3 for the first 10 years of it\'s roadgoing. Now we\'re retired we both drive it but we both still love the car.
As the Missus says \'If any scrote nicks our Gus they\'ll bring it back and probably complain they can\'t even steer him, let alone drive him".
