Hello peeps!
Just popped in to say hi and introduce myself and my 231 strato blue... Well there\'s more bling than blue :rollin
I\'ve had my Rex for a while now and love it to bits and had my ups and downs ( such is life ).
I can see some fellow owners and friends are on here! Hello guys :Thumbs-up
Now that I have a new job I can say I\'m from Ipswich rather than being in a different county every day lol.
Regards,
Mark
Hi Mark,
Welcome to MRC! :wave
So what blingy bits do you have? I had the mega bling alloys on my strato and I think they looked fab - but not everyone agreed. :Giggle
I have the Chrome alloys on mine as well with lockwood grills and vents with Strakes! o and not forgetting Chrome fuel cap and not forgeting my Chrome wipers.
Oh yeah, a Chrome and leather gear knob:mmmm

Very nice - I think you may have trumped me on the bling!
Did love my alloys though - looked so good with the strato. Aren\'t yours corroding? I got through five sets!
Welcome to MRC Mark, :Thumbs-up:Thumbs-up
:Thumbs-upThanks Clive:Thumbs-up
AMH..... My Alloys are starting to go and im afraid I clipped one yesturday so im thinking of getting some 19s and wider ones to make it look more beefy ;)
Also want them in two tone ( gold and Chrome ).
Regards,
Mark
Sounds good Mark. :Thumbs-up Although I loved my old ones everyone says they prefer the ones on my R3.
Thats the one on your avatar right ?

Yep those are the ones.
would look even better Chrome:)
I do like the style of the wheels on a 3 for sure!
Do you find a difference in the 3 from the old one?
Ive always liked the older style of cars as they have more curves :mmmm

I said that but I won\'t do anything whilst it\'s under full warrenty.

I loved my old 8 and I\'m glad they haven\'t mucked about with it too much on the R3. It is a better car though - a better ride with improved handling and things like cruise control and built in bluetooth are really useful. I recon they\'ve fixed a few things that needed sorting but left all the things I loved. I do miss my heated seats a bit and the Recardos are a bit snug on long drives (or my bum is too big!) but at least you don\'t lose everything you put on the passenger seat down the back - I used to hate that! :D
I did love the Strato colour as well but I paid £5k less for my R3 and my old one was a 192. :Thumbs-up
Im not sure on the R3 as my 8 has charm etc but maybe thats me being boring or old, but you cant beat a so called mature but still young at heart car.
Did you find your Chrome alloys started from the middle or the edges? as mine started on one wheel only and leaving it standing for a week it started to blow!
Afternoon Mark :WaveBye & nice to see you made it over to the dark side :rollin
Anyway Welcome to the MRC :D
Thank you Nigel, its always better to be on the dark side:burnout
and thanks for the link my friend:Thumbs-up
Have you worked out how to get your Avatar working yet ?
If not I can talk you through it over the phone :D
no luck yet mate, but will send you a txt with details and you can see what i mean lol

After each winter the laquer started flaking off all over - particully round the middle and in the corners. Once they started to go they would look awful very quickly. At £1,500 a set it cost Mazda a lot to replace them each time so I don\'t know why they didn\'t change supplier or something?
It would of been cheaper just to refurb the wheels lol.
I gonna look into a new set plus a custom job.
Welcome to MRC.. Hope you have a great time here
Syed
Thanks Mir ;)
