Title: Nice Austin Healey
Post by: johnf on February 18, 2011, 08:20:19 PM
Saw this nice Austin Healey in the Daily Mirror today.

The car isn\'t the reason for the pic - shouldn\'t take long to see what caught my eye though.

Cool... does anyone remember the 13B-T Spitfire a few years back?

I plan on doing an old skool mini with a rotary powerplant later on this year. Some guy in New zealand did a 12a space framed mini a while back but no one has done a 13b powered one as of yet...

Im tempted by the old school mini idea, A guy near me does mini conversions with bike engines, some pretty cool stuff but very expensive! check out the site.

Awsome stuff, tho the bike engine and honda vtec transplants have been done to death and so expensive. Much cheaper to do a rotary.

When I was visiting my brother in South Carolina last year. We came across an Auto X in a car park next to a shopping centre. There was a Spitfire there that had been converted to a 12a and an FB doing the rounds. Can\'t remember who\'s it was but the guy that built the spitfire had done a Jenson too iirc.

Me and my son Dylan, my Bro and my Dad. The golf that my Dad is hiding behind was about the quickest thing of the day beating Porshes and all sorts. Oh and the spitfire loaded on its trailer. Notice the slicks ;)
