Just thought I\'d put up a post as I\'ve been out for a late night drive tonight :) And guess what.... when I pulled up outside my house I noticed my FC was 1/2 a mile or so off 100,000 miles. Not bad for a 21 year old I reckon.
So my question is, How many miles has your FC done people?
My very old, buy used times ago, at 100.000km was gone :( Other 3/4 I\'ve see to buy after, are about at 150/160.000km with decent compression and no rebuild.
174,xxx something (all be it on an engine or two) :driving:cool - 21 years - going on 22 ! (registered first on Sep 89)
38000 miles must be nearly run in
think mine is up to about 62-63K ish
done about 2-4k on the new engine
Seriously, You\'ve done less than 4k since you owned it? Thats bloody good going.
Think my black one is on around 143k so far, but has had a rebuild under Brett\'s ownership.
Silver one is on 104k but will probably be broken now as I need the space.
Mines on 55k and I\'ve only done about 100 miles in two years. Makes me sick but on the plus side I\'ve saved a few quid on fuel!
Nearly ready to burn some holes in my pockets. Bring on the better weather and payday. :D
68K miles and engine rebuilt 4k miles ago (nearly 2 years ago!!).

yeah think she only does about 500 miles a year - and prob 350-375 is Rotorstock and back home !!
151000 on my t2, approximately 20000 on rebuild.. Be interesting to know if it\'s rebuild 1 or 2!
118,000 on my TII , to my knowlage has been rebuilt at some point. H452ARR
114,000 on my TII cab. New engine about 7k ago.
My first egi had 162,000 on the clock :)

if you look thru the history - im sure it was around the 50-70 mark - and it was a NEW engine .. not a rebuild ;)

Still driving as good as ever Ade?
Yeah. Although she\'s a bit of a harder ride since you had her. And she could do with the full set of poly bushes I have installing aswell as the DTSS bushes you gave me.

Yeah ive looked through the massive pile of history but couldnt find any details on an engine build or swap.
So the engine was completely swapped out for another new one then? Theres fresh sealant around the oil feed to the turbo and around the sump pan so i assumed she was rebuilt? :)
107k, on original engine so I\'ve been told
when i bought it - the car was fully maintained by mazda , it died at xx,xxx milage - cause it was bought from them at 3 yrs old - he paid something like £199 a year for a FULL warranty that covered EVERYTHING and he paid that until he sold it
and basically cause its mazda - they put a new engine in it ( from a crate )
well thats what the guy told me
i got ALL the service history printed and sent to me ( green and white paper if you have it ) - but the garage that did the engine is was no longer in business - so i couldnt get the other half from them
Mine had done 116k 5 years ago and its now at......hummmm let me see......116k miles :Hammer (All was done on same engine)
17x,xxx - had a rebuild or porting job before i got it, and a replacement engine about 30k ago (can\'t remember, had it so long now). It was at either 70 or 100k when I got it.
Seems like we have a good variety of milage on this forum then. Nice to see.

looks like the FC\'s engines tend to last a good bit longer than the average FD, or is it just that the few FC\'s that are left are better cared for?
No I think they do as a rule of thumb. Not by loads and loads though. Like anything though take care of it and it will last longer than if you abuse it. You do hear stories of the FC engines lasting well into the 100,000\'s without a rebuild. I\'d like to get mine compression tested TBH just to see how it is. It doesn\'t seem to be any different to when I got it off you. Still starts on the button hot or cold. Fingers crossed it\'ll stay like that for a long time. Think its around 35,000 into the rebuild now.
