Title: Any value in bbs 17"
Post by: rovers on February 13, 2011, 08:29:41 PM
Ive got a -95 type-rz with the bbs-rims that came with it when new. 8x17 and 8,5x17" et50 i think. polished egde and center in gun metal.

But the thing is that I dont like dark rims on a black car so im wondering if they are worth anything on the 2-handmarket??

Any ideas?

Those wheels are worth a metric dick load of CA$H.

I have 2 sets as they were the factory SP wheel and also on the Mazda M1020 prototype *half arsed version of the SP* (with special center caps) They are the best looking RX7 wheel, very light and very strong too.

Ship them to Australia? I will buy them............... oh hang on they are not worth that much lol......

Sure I could do that, but think it would be pretty damn expensive.

But wait.......  why bother when they arent worth that much :rollin

Seriuosly what should i ask for them??  Pretty good nick on them,  theyre not so hot on the market here in sweden

RHD japan sold a set a while back for $1100Au shipped (Japan to Australia). That is about the going rate. Freight component was around 25% of the cost.

You just need to find the right buyer.

In a few years time all these rare parts will be worth an absolute MINT, and the FD and its rare models will hit the sky high value range, they are popular now but will be in massive legend status in the future.

I\'d find a nice spot and store the parts ;) if you are not desperate for the ca$h.

Probably get around £400 or so for them here in the UK, with the right buyer.
Problem is that the offsets are reasonably high, so your target is pretty much RX7 owners and that\'s it.

Indeed, but thoseare the likes of lm\'s and RS\'s, and those are different. The OP\'s are the OEM single piece ones.
