Title: The driver side door handle is broken, how to disconnect?
Post by: jimmydanny on February 08, 2011, 11:21:11 PM
I don\'t have pics, but my handle is broken from the part that pulls the rod to the locking mechanism, so I can\'t open my door.

I can\'t find it in the workshop manual, is it anything I should know when removing this? I can\'t see how the rods are disconnected, too tight to figure it out.

Glad you got it, although fairly easy to do once you look at it the little plastic clips that hold the main rod to the handle can be a pain and more so trying to manipulate out of the door.(without scratching the paintwork)  You can get the handle a fair way out with the main rod attached and then I disconnect from the handle.

Yeah I think I blew a bit of paint, but it wasn\'t the best anyways, will repaint the whole thing when my wallet says yes :)
