What engine Management sytems do you guys use? This is not a debate on which is best, I would just like to know what is being used and why you use it over other available units? What functions do you believe to be of importance and which features do you use to achieve a good tune up?

I run a power fc.
Main reasons I went for it are:
Compared to some of the other ECUs they are quite a few tuners that have some experience setting them up. Its also quite a cheap one and as Im not going too mad yet it will do what I want no probs.
If I were going for a big power job, would probably go for one of the Motecs, but Power FC will do me for now

Most guys in the UK are running Power FC. Largely cause a) they are cheap, b) they r plug\'n\'play so no installation issues or expense and c) most rotary people know how to operate datalogit. Quite a few people are tuning their own cars since datalogit emerged and widebands are readily and cheaply available.
I think MicroTech will take off here WHEN they get their shit together and start shipping the bloody things here :reallymad
I\'m running an LTX12 in the FC as its the easiest/cheapest way to run the 20B. Looked at E11 for ages but in the end was too scared by horror stories as it was not long after its launch and there were endless probs with it. On paper sounded a nice package tho? Haltech group went to shit in the end and I unsubscribed as it was too tedious!
FD will be run by LTsomethingS I expect, may be Haltech or MoTeC if MT dont get their shit together and start sending computers to europe...

Yeah, Rich I have used MT for many years and designed many of the features. However I am also a Motec dealer and tune Haltec, Autronic,EMS, WOlf, APexi, Hawk, FAST, and some others. We are currently solving the supply issue so that MT no longer suffers from this issue.

Yeah, I know MT are working hard to sort it all out. My mate Geff is a MT dealer (or would be if he could get any to sell!), I think he met u in Aus last year at the MT seminar may be? He has always dealt with Tim (RPM/HP) but hasnt had much luck recently, hence his car is running Power FC atm - couldnt get a MT in time for love nor money, and the LTX he sent back for reconfiguring ahead of getting an LTS \'got lost\' in transit after being fixed it seems :(
