Title: Front Bumper removal
Post by: Steve Burnett on June 04, 2004, 03:42:47 PM
Looking for some help here.

I am having my front bumper among other thing resprayed and am wondering how easy it is to remove. Looking at it im thinking its just a case of unscrewing lots of screws and bolts. Is this right or are there any surprises im likely to find when I remove it like clips that might break etc.
When re-fitting it is there any problems?

Thanks
Steve

i found you need a crash barrier & a operational right foot, it came off a treat (http://instagiber.net/smiliesdotcom/contrib/ed/laughpf.gif) lol

I took mine off the other day, all bolts but there are a couple that are a pig to get to! namely ones behind mud guard, and top corner near headlight, depending what bumper you have you may need the light out?

i got a c-west and i got my hand through the hole near oil coolers ok, but if you have one with smaller holes might not be so easy :)

I\'ve highlighted in red when the bolts are, one with blue arrow is the one you might find tricky...might need headlight out, unless theres a bit of space to get arm up behind bumper, never worked on standard one so not sure, hope it helps a bit anyway:)
