I got a universal one from CAF (Camberley Auto Factors) - not sure if they\'ve a branch near you?

At a pinch, and this worked for me before buying a tool for it, I\'ve used a socket that just fits in the splines and another that just fits in the spigot hole, you can wrap some tape around and lube with grease to get a \'snug\' but sliding fit. It\'s only to hold it whilst you do up the cover bolts.

They generally chuck a plastic tool in with a lot of kits, that works fine too.

An old method, maybe a last resort if you can\'t find a proper tool.

Cut a sweeping brush handle into a foot long dowel and whittle the end to fit into the release bearing. Then hammer the \'New Artifact\' into the old clutch plate spines. A bit of wax candle to ease it all and \'hey presto\' a perfect alignment tool for the new plate. I\'m 35,000 miles past the last time I did this.....no judder or problems.

First time I fitted the box a rather experienced local hero used an old gearbox input shaft he\'\'d sheared as ana lignment tool - took me fricking yonks to get the box on.

Next time I use a broom handle and smashed it in.
Box went on first time...

hmm darn.. I know the  fd can use the Mitsubishi Lancer EVO VIII & IX alignment tool.
it clutch number is ACT-AT03.

Im almost sure that the fc gen II uses the same alignment too.
