Title: Oil cooler \'O\' rings
Post by: Ian65 on January 20, 2011, 06:54:42 PM
I need to replace the 2 O rings that sit under the beehive oil cooler ( the ones that always leak).
Does anyone know the part numbers that I can approach my local dealer with?

Gpt seals in stafford will probably have them on the shelf, if not they will get them for the next day.
Ive had quite a few seals for the Porsche from there, just take a sample and they will match them.
Dont let the Blonde behind the counter fool you, she knows her stuff.

If you remember Ian, there was that 2002 Classic Car Maintenance Guide that Tim White was involved in. On page 3 he mentioned these seals and the fact that they harden.

At that time he could supply seals made of "Viton", which he said didn\'t harden.
The page from that guide is attached.

And do you mean the water seal \'O\' rings in the inlet manifold at the same time. Essential to replace at any strip down......but hey, you know all that stuff I think.
