Good News!! I have just spoken with the events manager at Beaulieu and they are happy to take full control of organizing a Mazda Rally day in order that we can celebrate the 20th anniversary win of Mazda winning at Le Mans.
Once I have received flyer information and rally packs, I will post on here in order that we can also let other Mazda clubs aware of the event.
This event is just for Sunday 10th July only

The event by the MX-5OC had to be cancellled to the organisers bad health and no one had come forward to take control if the event. So I contacted Beaulieu in order that we could still have a meeting there and they agreed to run the event as a
Mazda day, in order to still celebrate Mazda 20th Anniversary win at Le Mans.

Guess Naz was just a bit quicker getting the tickets up for sale in the RX8OC shop, don\'t see any reason you and Jim shouldn\'t be able to buy tickets at the RX8OC shop and at the discounted rate seeing as you\'re both RX8OC members. Please remember this is a MAZDA day out. Not just MRC or the RX-8OC.
Please note that when the orginal event was cancelled, I immediately contacted Bealieu to try and ensure that we could still have a Mazda event, hence I was asked for some pictures of Mazda cars and also for our club banner so they could add it to the link.

Ive posted this up on PlanetMX5 and made contact thru the orignal organiser (who fell ill) on MX50C wessex area
MX5OC is a somewhat more formal affair than here or RX8OC - so although everyone knows its back on jjust going to have to wait for a reply.....I would have thought they would be all over it but seems not.....I\'ll keep you upto date

Can I ask again if we\'re having a dedicated parking area? I wouldn\'t like my FB to be lost amongst all the huge 6s... ;)
Not sure what the paln is yet, but I would expect most clubs will want their members to park in their own club area, so will also have our own club stand.
Nearer the time we will get an update as to the layout and see if Beaulieu can arrange car club areas for us and the other Mazda clubs to part our cars in.
I spoke to them yesterday and they said if we wanted to park together we would have to go in together, and no club stand would be available :(

I have received the following back from Beaulieu with regards to parking arrangments as follows. Please bear in mind that the event is being oranised by Beaulieu and therefore not for us to dictate to them about how things should be run.
Hi Lisa
You do bring up a good point about the parking.
While I do understand where you are coming from, the knowledge that we have gained from running similar sized and indeed larger Rallies is that trying to navigate cars into specific ‘Club areas’ is very tricky. We would like to continue the display strategy where you are parked as you arrive, this would indeed mean you would get a mixture of marque’s parked together.
This is the first year this event has run and we would like to use this event to follow our adopted display strategy. I suppose it’s the case of the great unknown, we don’t know about the sort of numbers we can expect on the day yet. If its 50 cars then yes it is definitely easier to park everyone together, but if we have 500/1000 cars then it would prove very difficult to achieve. We would prefer to be cautious this year, go with what we know and maybe in 2012 re-assess the situation.
I have attached the complex map for you – we plan to have the event on these 5 areas. Bank Field, Arena Field, The Arena, Monorail Field and by the Corporate Area.
We would definitely welcome some assistance for parking cars from you, it will help greatly to get people into position as quickly as possible.
I think the best way for members of clubs to secure parking next to each other would be to arrange a meeting place near Beaulieu and arrive in convoy from there. It may be worth possibly considering Rownhams Service station which is about 13 miles away from Beaulieu.
As they say we\'d all better arrange to meet at the services first and arrive together.

It\'s a pity they want to run it that way -- but they are correct that the access is a bit restricted, and unless we could somehow organise an ordered convoy, will probably be difficult to manage parking into specific areas.
A couple of years ago RX8OC organised a Beuleau picnic, and we had the part of the Arena hard-standing as the parking area... The overhead series of photos and "panorama" is taken from the Monorail (not marked on the map for some reason), but crosses approx where the 9 is on the map.

Just noticed this event taking place at Beaulieu. As me and the girlfriend arent coming along to Japfest may attend this one instead. Will see if she is free that day.
Also I have been wondering. How much is it to become a full member of MRC? I hear it has a few benefits. And is it an annual membership or? Just wondering as I see if I am a full member then tickets to the shows are cheaper.

I have been advised by my contacts at Beaulieu that they have so far sold over 400 tickets for Simply Mazda at Bealieu on Sunday, so well done to everyone who is attending this event and making it a first for a united Mazda event.
The MX-5 club who originally organised the event will have pride of place in the show car area and the remaining Mazda clubs on the surrounding grass area.
Now if only we can get these Mazda enthusiasts to attend Rotorstock 8 :Hammer

Just so everybody knows -- I won\'t be attending this event. Got my 787b fix at Goodwood, and competing in the FDMC Autosolo at Barton Stacey instead :-)

It was a shame that we couldn\'t get our FB to the event, but it should be there next year :)
I did take one of our other cars though, with Club323F, and even made it into the cavalcade, which was a nice surprise :)
On behalf of all of the club323f members that came along, I\'d like to say a huuuuuge thank you to Clive and Lisa for sorting this out - without you guys this would never have happened!
I\'ve only just got back home, having decided to stay around the south coast for a while.
Gwyn and I had a great day out at Beaulieu. There was so much to see there, and not just cars, the history of the site and the Montague family was fascinating.
The turnout was superb cf other "static" events of recent times. I enjoyed seeing and chatting to old friends and meeting quite a few new people too.
Massive thanks has to go to Lisa for making this happen. Had she not picked up the mantle after the original organiser had to pull out (tragically, due to ill health) then this event would never had happened.
As it now stands, Beaulieu reported it was a very successful event from their veiwpoint and are looking to make it an annual event. Not sure if I would go every year, but certainly would go again in 2-3 years.
As the title says "you stole the show"
Many many thanks to all who came along, with or without your Rotary because you made a wonderful diverse stand which was by far the best there.
Lisa and myself were there for the Hot Rod/ Custom show partly for a recce for the Simply Mazda show, they had far more cars / bikes than us, yeah OK Mazda don\'t make bikes I know.
Point is whilst is was a very good event and we both really enjoyed ourselves with you all they really screwed up the layout by hiding us behind a bank in what felt like the overflow car park, grrrrrrrrrr you all made up the most interesting stand at the event and Beaulieu screwed it up by keeping you all in secret hiding.
Essentially from sussing out the previous event this event was the wrong way round with the rif raf and for sale "I don\'t want my Mazda any more" cars on the main tarmac Show area.
As said above Lisa picked up the ball to get this event going as the MX-5 Club and Beaulieu and actually canceled the event and what did they do, they banished us !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!, and trust me Lisa has told the guy in charge in person and by e-mail that he really got this one wrong with the layout :Ladys-man
Right, getting back to the plus side of this event, next year we will work even closer and I\'m sure this will be even bigger and better even though the event was already bigger than the Simply Ford event.
