Title: Who\'s Attending Japfest 2011?

Hi All

As I will be looking to buy advanced tickets possibly this week, once they are announced for sale, so in order that the Club does not lose money on unwanted tickets, it would help me if you could list you name below if you are a definite at attending this event.

Japfest is the largest one day Jap event in the UK.  I will be buying tickets at the reduced ticket price and this will be the cost that I will post up on the shop.  They will be in the region of approx £12.50.

Anyone looking to come down on the Friday night to save the drive and to get in early, try looking at the Premier Inn at Chippenham, this is the nearest to the circuit, so it might be advisable to book on line now and you pay on checkout.

I will be booking tickets for Japfest tomorrow.  Due to the lack of numbers on here and as we have to buy advance tickets in order to secure a club stand I will only be purchasing 20 tickets for this event.

i have just signed up with MRC i will be bringing our newly purchased and resprayed fd3 to japfest and would be great to show it off on the MRC stand.
 
what do i need to do now to guarantee a spot ??

does anyone know if bbq\'s are allowed at japfest?? i cant remember seeing any last year..if they are im well up for organising one for the mrc area. it beats wasting time in the huge que\'s for silly priced food.?????

i was unsure wether i would be taking mine, but think i am now, have you got to put your name down anywhere if you would like to park on the stand? or do you get that with the tickets?

I have received the following back from Japfest:-

You may have a BBQ on your club stand as long as you clear up afterwards, you do not sell to the public and use common sense with the fires etc.

I have received some of the tickets on Saturday, chasing up for the stand passes and then all tickets and stand pases will be sent out.  I will post on here when they have been sent out.

My rex is certainly no show machine (yet), but it will be nice not to be in the car park somewhere at the back of the stand is fine.

PLEASE NOTE THAT ALL JAPJEST TICKETS ARE NOW SOLD AND NO LONGER AVAILABLE TO BUY VIA THE SHOP.

You will be able to buy tickets on the day at Japfest but will not be able to park on the club stand due to limited space.

Thank you you to everyone that has purchased tickets and track sessions this will be our best Japfest event ever!

Please see attachment with regards to the MRC stand area.

Briefing is at 9.10am and track time is 10.12am.  Probably best if people going out on track are at the ckub stand by 8.30-8.45am

Lisa. have Japfest provided a map to show where the stand is, relative to pits and entrance?

Interestingly, the RX8OC stand passes are IDENTICAL, so the MRC stand must be somewhere in the same general area. I\'m assuming here that the RX8OC stand is in the same place as always too, in which case, pretty convenient for the drive to the pits....

We enter via Gate A but are in area CC

However, it is confusing as they are saying Area A on the website but Area CC on the pass.  I will email and confirm.

Its gate A so got to go past q\'s for gate c and b if coming from Motorway/ Chippenham side.

If you look at the map, we\'re in area A and I think CC means Car Club and we need to go through gate A!

Offical word back from Japfest:-

Please dont worry about the the Area CC written on your pass, this just to help our marshalls direct your members to the correct area on the site. As the map states, the Mazda Rotary club will be in area A. :confused::confused:

^^^:Hammer The RX8OC have an identical stand pass issued; I would logically conclude we are therefore both in the same area of the site (wherever that turns out to be!). However, I think the RX8OC think they are in the same area as in ALL previous attendances, which is area "C". But that would logically lead to using Gate B....

If we turn up at Gate A (as on the passes) and then get directed to are "C", it\'s going to be a nightmare, as that takes you past all the public and trade areas...

OK, the RX8OC have confirmed they are in Area A on the map (and they have identical stand passes to the MRC stand), so entrance A makes sense now. So, this is where the MRC was 2 years ago (and maybe last year too - I couldn\'t make it last year so not sure?).

So Entrance "A", as on the passes, then you should be directed to the right to Area A.....

My rex is poorly - would anyone who is going but not able to buy a club ticket with stand pass like my stand pass?  

I\'ll still be going but a Nissan Primera would probably not fit in so well :(

I live just outside of Frome and will be getting there quite early so will happily meet up in the morning or something

Icing on the cake was Joseph winning the Adrian Flux Scalextric competition -- £100 and a Scalextric set!

Nice seeing the cars on the MRC Stand :) I was on the MPSOC Stand over in gate C stand QL :driving
 
Overtook Clive in his Yellow RX-8 while he was following a Red RX-7 on the A329 on the way back home :D
 
I saw Clive had clocked me,as he glanzed over to me as I overtook him :rollin
