Title: Blitz exhausts
Post by: slater1982 on January 06, 2011, 03:17:45 PM
Does anybody know, are there significant differences between the blitz nur spec r and s versions of catback systems for an fd3s, or is it just that the r has a removable baffle whereas the s doesn\'t? Any help is much appreciated, especially by my bank card come monday!

S is a fair chunk quieter - I beleive it meets JASMA SL standards :)

I don\'t know about an FD3S but my mate just got an S for his Scoob and the system is 3" but the silencer goes down to about 2", its quiet but kind of defeats having a 3".
I have an R with the removable baffle fitted, unless I was going for a good run, and its not to bad noise wise.
It\'s noticeably faster with the baffle out but as Neil\'s poor neighbors will tell you, crazy loud.

Ok, cheers guys, maybe if the r is really that loud then might go with the s anyways. Oh yeah, just found out, there\'s no more spec r\'s coming into the country till april anyways, and i\'m an impatient bugger! As long as the spec s can flow enough gas to cope with decatting and remapping, cos thats my plan, (don\'t think realistically I can go more than that though, then it will be fine.)
