Title: Standalone ECU, with Auto Gearbox - Wiring
Post by: imebgo on December 30, 2010, 03:30:17 PM
HI,

I am putting together a list of what I need to do when wiring in a standalone ecu, im reading through all the input / outputs in the RX7 wiring diagram, everything seems pretty straightforward, apart from:

Reduced Torque Signal / Slip Lockup Signal.  This is an output from the transmission ECU to the engine ECU, under the following conditions:

When shifting from 1st to 2nd or from 2nd to third with the throttle opening above 1.5/8.
When slip lockup with the throttle opening below 0.5/8

On a standard car, this signal is probably adjusting something in the ECU, my question is What, and do I need to worry about these signals?

Thanks,

James
