I don\'t think your current insurance will be invalid mate as they can hardly revoke it just because they alter the age requirement, you might just struggle with the same company next year.

If you renew with them its fine, i renewed this year and also changed car from an fd to an fc and they had to go ask someone because of the new age rule but said as I\'ve used them for a couple of years with no claims they\'d waive the age limit.

i tried for a quote on wednesday with peter best and they said that i would have to be 25 (which i will be in august) but would be looking at £450 fully comp but they dont take ncb\'s into account as its a classic car policy.

it seems peter best can\'t make their minds up what or who they want to insure...

i\'ve just got off the phone to them, quoted for lightly modified rx7 (wheels, exhaust, intercooler, ecu, +40bhp) for myself (age 26, held license 8 years, no claims or points in last 5 years) and at first the chap said £283.12 with the car kept on a driveway, but then at the last minute realised he\'d made a mistake with something so put me on hold, then came back and said they now won\'t insure modified rx7\'s to any age driver unless it is kept garaged. so i asked him to quote me that out of curiosity and that came back at £438.62 !!!

rubbish. any other good classic car insurers for a 2nd vehicle worth a try?

i just renew my insurance with Peter best with mods and also asked if i can add mods and they said yes! so i dunno why some people are getting age limit... footman jamies came back with a price of 438pounds but peter best done it for 295 and im 27 with mods declared :)

i think talking to the ladys is gonna help more lol....

im with performance direct, fully declared on a classic policy, im 25, with a classic policy it doesn\'t use no claims, so I can use that on my daily drive to drop the insurance on that :) was about £400ish for me all mods declared
