Hi guys.
Well, looks like Im going back to rotary power soon, having had a wee accident in my current car.
Ive been wanting a show car project for a number of years, and have went through the usual thoughts of Supras and Skylines, and very nearly bought a 300ZX recently.
But, the Rex has always been a favourite. Indeed, some members here may remember me from the RX8OC which I was a prominant member of for some time.
So, I think I am gunna get a standardish 96/97 FD3, hopefully an RZ if one comes up for sale at a decent price.
Looking at around £6k budget to start with.
Having said all that, I am loving the look of the black one that DCY-cars have for sale.
Anways, few pics of my car history below.
This was my first car. Bought new, and all work done myself.

Part ex\'d that car after 4 years of ownership for a brand new 350z. Which I spent some time modifying over the 2.5 years of ownership till it looked like below

I then got the V8 itch, and traded that car in for a 1 yr old VXR8, all 6.2l of it

Unfortunatly, last week, I had an incident as shown below

Damage is pretty severe to the o/s/r suspension, and possible damage to the diff. Its currently at VX being assessed, but I suspect its a write-off, as all the parts will have to be imported from Oz.
Anyways, back to reading up and re-familiarising myself with rotary\'s!
Welcome to MRC Lex :cool
I see many sell their Rotarys only to come back to the cars that gave them lots of fun :chat
Sorry to see its via an accident but at least your O/K
Hi Lexx,
I remember you from the OC I believe - good to see you\'re comming back to rotary.
Welcome to mrc... Hope u have a good time here!!!it\'s a great forum.
Regards
Syed
Hi Lexx M8 :wave
Certainly do remember you from RX8OC before your move to the dark side. :Thumbs-up Sorry to hear/see the results of your latest off road attempts, maybe a Disco would be more appropriate than an FD. :Laugh
Certainly some nice FD\'s around, also some cheap 8\'s you could work some magic with via FI.
Either way, welcome back to the world of rotaries and when you have the desired car you can join us at one of the track days being organised for the coming year.
Ray (aka Harrizone)
Aye up Ray.
Long time.
UNfortunatly, will the loss of my NCB the prospect of insuring a FI RX8 isnt a possibility.
At least a 7 comes turbo\'d already so the premium isnt too shabby.
I look forward to catching up with some of you at meets etc.
Yep I remember you and your 8 and you\'ve made a bit of a mess of that VXR :Nono!.
Good to see you\'re returning to rotary power you know it makes sense even if it\'s not in an 8, you know 8\'s are super cheap now :reallymad.
Hey Lexx! Sorry to hear about the incident with the VXR8, but then it can happen to any of us :(
I well remember the white 350Z - the only one in the ferry queue to Le Mans, as I recall :rollin Give my regards to Teflon!
Hope to see you at one of the meets soon :driving
Ian.
Hi Lexx!! Sorry to hear about your VXR8 incident (I read on FB about your recent "epic" snow journey!)... Well, at least the car had mostly the right mix of letters, just in the wrong order. :rollin Like Ian, I also had "an incident" in my old Rex, but every cloud has a silver lining :D
Certainly remember the White Datsun at Le Mans - G-Man has also moved to the "Dark side". Hope you find a decent Rotary to enter back into the fold :-) :3gears-lh
welcome along
Hi Lexx, recognise your name from jne and have seen the 350z before in the pool.
Welcome to the joys of fd ownership (that isnt sacasm either mine has been a joy to own)
