Hi Guys,

I used to rally an R110, autocrossed an RX3, seen plenty of RX2\'s and RX4\'s in years gone by and have seen Cosmo RX5\'s in pictures - but what was an RX6?

theres an Apexi RX6 turbo unit but is not a car.

rx6 is tagged on any 626 with a rotary engine conversion
- rumour has it that mazda produced a couple of prototype CB2 capella\'s with a rotary engine package then shelved them for various reasons

here is a notorious rx6 that i did a fair bit of work on a few times over with various owners

Wow, that\'s a pretty mahooooosive IC there.....

that pic is when it came back after the shop IC and ECU install

- the ECU install was a total balls up ,, i had to tune it myself as they
( haltech specialist !!!!)
they couldnt work out how to wire the TPS
fill the block with coolant
setup the ignition for four coils and wire them without fault
do a timing check
download a relevant fuel map,
or even bolt down the turbo

i can\'t tell you enough how really inept they where
( i built the 1st turbo engine then had to tune it for them )

and the IC with bull horns install was nothing short of lebanese butchery at its worst

it really had me shaking my head

with a later owner i helped fit it out with another engine package and microtech and a 1.32 t66
( 397 RWHP at 1 bar boost )

where he soon rolled it after being clipped while changing lanes

and so that brings me to the pic i neglected till now to post

remarkably , child in rear baby seat that side , and driver ,, unscathed
( driver with 3 cm scratch to head )

I\'ll elaborate on my earlier post then....."Lebanese butchery" aside (rofl :rollin) Mazda never made an official RX-6
