Title: rover mini air conditioning in rx4 coupe

has anyone fit a rover mini heater and fan unit into a mazda rx4 coupe? any problems with it at all? i want to remove my factory air conditioning unit as it weighs more than 70lbs and im trying to make my rx4 under 2000lbs.

just to note that isn\'t an a/c unit from a mini its just the standard heater unit. it will only provide heat not cooling.

But the thing is dr5... I have been reading some of your post and some of the questions you are asking are right out there. What you are wanting to do is not the norm. Its not like you are asking who has done a V8 conversion on a FD RX7 as there have been a few done and you will get some feedback on that.
Some of the stuff you want to do as with any build is "one off". Perhaps you could do the work first them pass on your knowledge to others who may follow.
