Thought I would make the most of the cold weather and have a go at the sound proffing in the boot. Took 30 minutes and 5 minutes of cleaning up. Had a brief try in the summer and it looked to be a pain, but a mallet and scre driver and -5 degrees makes for a much easier and cleaner job.
Going to rip up the rest of the interior next weekend in preparation for doing the rest of the car :)

My brother did the rear and boot of his Skyline as well and ditched 4kg.
I errrrrm...did nowt today! Did enough yesterday though so not too fussed. Fair play though mate-takes some dedication to get every last little bit out.
looked for the T2 today and it was frozen, good luck with the hammer
Saving 4kg on a car that weighs 1.5 tonnes - that\'s <0.3%. Hardly worth it unless it\'s a race car.

Every little helps and it will also look a lot cleaner in there once it is sprayed.
Easier to increase power by 0.3% though ;)

Not really that cheap and easy for an EGI that already has aftermarket full exhaust etc :)
Anyway the 4kg was from my brothers car, I havent actually weighed mine yet. Once all of it is out I reckon it will come to around 10kg. Also I though the EGI was around 1300kg in weight?
Anyway like I said, every little helps :)

True, it\'s the Skyline is about 1500kg. 10kg is prolly worthwhile - when I stripped my Alfa for racing I got 2 Tesco bags full of sound proofing/stiffening crud... weighed about 17kg!
