Post by: will_1223 on November 28, 2010, 10:45:41 AM
Hi all, found a car which is really highly spec\'d but its an auto and i want a manual, just wanted to have a rough idea of what is needed and how much to convert to manual, would have about 5k to spend and the car is 2.8k but want some change for a front mount lol.

Will, Keith (Trind FD )has an auto FD for sale with a single turbo. There\'s any lad on here called Jit who could point you in the right direction for parts to convert.......would be worth a look :Thumbs-up
Dave.

Parts wise your looking at 5-600 depending on what spec of manual conversion (you might decide on an uprated clutch which may push up the price) and whether or not you change the diff or just the front flange. Labour wise you\'re looking at around 1k ish

Many thanks for all the info, the labour will be free due to me being a mechanic and i would want an uprated clutch, just not a paddle.
