Hi all just a quick question I wanted to ask, do fd3s come with an lsd as standard?
Yes, most have a torsion type but some had a clutch type fitted as standard.
Didn\'t think any had a clutch type? I was under the impression they were all TorSen?
Sih is correct
Mine had a mazdaspeed clutch type fitted before I swapped for a torsen.
Sorry for the poor spelling in first post but it was very late,:Hammer
Whats the difference and are both good for a lil controlled tail out action?

the mazdaspeed clutch type was not OEM. sounds like the previous owner installed it, Unless if it was orderred from the factory which i highly doubt
My mistake then, I got my car with low mileage and totally standard apart from Mazdaspeed clocks, coilovers and exhaust, maybe an optional extra then?
Will, this link explains different types of LSD http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Limited_slip_differential
If you want to hnag the back end out, a Torsen is pretty much the least appropriate LSD you could have!
Great for grip, rubbish for drift.
