Car is now down the bodyshop as is getting resprayed this coming week all black.

After this plan is to get it tuned/set up by Reworx and then get a Re Amemiya front bumper for it.

Will do. At the moment it is a bit too loud for me so looking forward to seeing it resprayed all black as should make it a little more subtle.

Cheers for the comments all.

The wheels are very nice and a lucky addtion on the car as I didnt expect them to be such low offset to begin and thought there would be spacers, etc to help them fill the arches.

The mirrors though are a favourite gadget for me though as they still retain the electric adjustment. I was expecting that!

I will be selling the Chargespeed front bumper (its genuine). I dont know for sure exactly when but have the RE Amemiya front bumper I want in mind and just trying to sort something with 2 to 3 suppliers.

Part One of this project got completed yesterday.

About 10 days ago I dropped the car to the bodyshop to get fully resprayed in black as this was the original colour of the car and I wanted to lose the yellow and black scheme :2Confused

I am pretty please with the results. The car still needs a proper valet, clean, detail as this has not been done since it came in from Southampton Docks in late November.

Next on the agenda is to get the rest of the service done and get the car mapped for UK fuel for the Apexi ECU.

Here are some photos, not the best and wont win prizes but you get the idea!

Still waiting to get a few parts back from the bodyshop also like the Re Amemiya rear lights and also the vented drivers side headlight cover I bought from here a week or so ago that is getting sprayed up.

if you decide to get rid of the bonnet... i have a stock black one with flush fits i would happily swap lol! i want the r magic bonnet to go with my rmagic bumper lol... or a feed one :(

also polish the lips up on your wheels they look sad all dirty :( car looks nice though!! it would of been a tough call with either going black or going yellow for me, black yellow and white are my fav fd colours... i prob would of gone yellow and made an initial d rep lol!

Cheers for the comments.

I think black or white are my favourite colours on a fd from the cars I have seen around so far. However I do like some of the custom colours Ive seen like the purple wide body in the for sale section at the moment.

The bodyshop where I got it done were surprised I got it resprayed as they liked the two tone effect but it was a little too lairy for me personally.

Yeah wheels need a good clean, with the cold weather not done alot. Need to go and buy some decent alloy metal polish.

I dont have the spoiler anymore as did a deal with Martin when I bought the car. Its for sale here.

Having just got the bonnet sprayed up I be keeping it I am afraid.

Bit of an update.

Firstly the car is now registered.

Secondly took the car to the team at Re Worx today in Portsmouth and got some work done.

Changed the oil, changed the oil filter, changed the leads to some new performance leads, changed the fuel filter, replaced the belts and got a dyno run done and a tune up.

Few jobs have come out of it like replacing the expansion tank, which Re Worx noticed is showing its age, etc so will get this sorted in the new year.

Also found out it has a Re Amemiya front anti roll bar so something else from the RE A catalogue.

Happy with the results but still lots to do.

Couple of videos  of the dyno run from the camera, it made 339 bhp at the flywheel with a conservative tune.

Click on the image for the video.

(http://i305.photobucket.com/albums/nn216/madaboutmx5s/th_rx7009.jpg) (http://s305.photobucket.com/albums/nn216/madaboutmx5s/?action=view¤t=rx7009.mp4)

(http://i305.photobucket.com/albums/nn216/madaboutmx5s/th_rx7010.jpg) (http://s305.photobucket.com/albums/nn216/madaboutmx5s/?action=view¤t=rx7010.mp4)

So next on the agenda is fitting the Auto Exe dished steering wheel when it arrives, sorting that RE Amemiya front bumper I want and probably before that the mechanical tidy up jobs with Re Worx. Probably at the same time I get the diff oil and gearbox oil changed so I know its done.

Only fun bit was driving it home today in the snow around Gatwick, which was interesting with the ....ty Jap tyres on it on the hills so also on agenda will be sorting some different decent tyres. Even treating the throttle pedal like I was treading on egg shells didnt seem to work on a couple of occasions.

Few updates since last time.

Went to Re Worx last Friday. Geoff and Chris sorted a couple of jobs for me including replacing the water pump, water housing, new AST and a run on the dyno again as  seem to be getting a bit of interference which looks like knock on the apexi ecu but on the dyno was not det knock. Going to buy a replacement leading coil and new knock sensor in the next month though just to see if either is playing up.

Car made a bit more power, 346 bhp this time as second turbo flap was found to be sticking so Chris and Geoff kindly stripped it down and sorted it. The power curve was also better then before. Also found out the car has a low temp thermostat fitted but judging by a few threads not sure if that is worth having

Also met up with Lee on here this week and got a parcel shelf sorted out. Thanks mate.

Last Satuday met with Martin from Speedline Imports yesterday who was a great help and supplied and fitted the freshly resrpayed re amemiya rear light cover and vented headlight cover. Also fitted the last of the interior parts, speaker covers and fitted a new scuttle panel in front of the windscreen as mine had started to dull.

Anyway a couple of photos.

Not sure if I totally like the re amemiya rear light cover. As it came with the car got it sprayed up. Plus points is it adds a little lip spoiler to the back but I do also quite like the late spec rear lights!

Also today got my RE Amemiya replica kit for the car.

RE A replica kit sorted today.

Madness in someways as all I want is the RE front bumper and carbon canards to go with the genuine RE Amemiya kit on the car.

Here are some photos.

So now I have spare RE Amemiya the rear arches, front arches, fuel cap, side skirts and side carbon canards. It worked out cheaped to buy a spare replica kit then to buy just the front bumper.

Hopefully plan to get the RE Amemiya replica front bumper down the bodyshop to be sprayed and fitted this weekend.

Probably going to put up and sell the spare RE Amemiya replica parts now mentioned above when I get back from holiday (was thinking around £550, does this sound fair?) and the genuine chargespeed front bumper without the side lights (thinking £200, does that sound OK?)

I drop you an email John, I am now on holiday for a week, leaving early hours of Saturday morning. Car is now at bodyshop awaiting bumper, front carbon canards fitment. Once these are on and if they go well will advertise the rest of the kit. Have a few interested parties but not prepared to sell until I have an example of the fitment, etc. Kit was from a company called Knightracer. They are more well known on the skyline forums.

Pretty happy with the results, now need to get the better dash parts fitted for the radio/centre/speedo console and door surrounds. Think they are from a late spec car as have a rougher/textured finish.

Also need to save some money and look to get my spare rear seat done up \'bride\' style.

Did a load of work to my rx7 today with a lot of help from Martin at Speedline Imports. Without Martin\'s help I would probably be still trying to work out how to get the carpet fitted!

Give me a eunos roadster and I can strip and rebuild an interior in my sleep but still learning on rx7s.

Anyway with Martin knowing what rx7s are all about and how to take them apart and put them back together I helped where possible do the following.

Replaced the black carpet with rare red oem carpet and also switched some of the interior plastics to red interior plastics.
Replaced all black interior parts with later spec interior plastics.
Fitted Feed Engineering Carbon Door Handles.
Replaced the speedo set with a late spec black surround.
Earlier previous week had replaced the Re Amemiya rear lights with 99\' rear lights.

Week previously had also had the car down the bodyshop getting some bodywork tidied up (rear quarter panel, roof and rear bumper, front bonnet sorted)

Here are some photos of todays efforts, results.

Also got a genuine Re Amemiya rear diffuer yesterday that needs to go on the car, which will go in sometime soon.
