Played it last night. What a load of rubbish, apart from more cars and tracks i wasn`t impressed with the graphics. And they say it took 5yrs to make!

I dunno. I thought that the graphics were good. Maybe not 5 yrs of development good but good non the less. The tyre smoke looks really good when drifting too :) The loading time was what was ....ing me off but aparently its cause of server congestion as it updates online as it goes. They are recommending you disconnect from the internet for now if you are playing in 1 player mode.
I played it for 5 hours straight lastnight so I\'ve decided I like it. If it was crap i\'d have turned it off and gone to bed a lot earlier!
The end of the day Gran Turismo is the playstation I have had well still got all playstation consoles 1,2, PSP and 3 and have got GT for all of them I have never been disappointed I can\'t wait to get my hands on this one and lose hours of my life. Sad or what.
How does it compare to Forza 3?
Dunno. Never owned an X box or played Forza. Was bloody tempted to buy one though when waiting for this!
I have had a go on fonza on the x box and TBH GT5 Prolouge was just as go if not better.
Am I right in saying that the Top Gear test track is on GT5?
Off topic but regarding what Turbo Boy said-I\'ve given Black Ops my best shot but just can\'t stand it. Back to MW2 and COD4 for me.
picked it up last night. its ok. its got alot stricter with goin on grass. cutting verges etc.
my biggest gripe with it. is when in auto mode you cant any longer hold it in a gear using L2. which would allow drifting alot easier
(im not the most games console orientated so i struggle with manual gear box. too many buttons. )
CaptainBizarro: that\'s right, the Top Gear track is in GT5. And damn, that\'s a hard circuit. Very difficult to see where you have to go.

I\'ve been the same using auto for all games really. But with this manual is soooooooooooo much better. it does take an hour or so to get used to if you normally play in auto though. You can hook up the corners alot easier in manual I have found and the FC drifts like a good-en now. In auto it just wouldn\'t do it or it\'d snap back or understeer mid drift.
All my mates have got steering wheels ( all GT ones) and they reckon its the nuts with one. So much easier to put the car where you want. And they all say the nascar special stages are loads easier too.

You can take a premium car from your garage, position it as you like in the "Photo Tour" mode.
Then go to your album, select the pic, press triangle and select "export to XMB Album"
exit the game, in the PS3 menu go to "Photo", there\'ll be a folder there with your GT5 pictures.
Copy the pics to a USB stick and then you ca access them on your pc.

I just wish I had the Logitec GT wheel that goes with it. Its soooooo much harder on the pad you can\'t catch the back end the same when you down shift. Plus the brake is more of an on/off button unlike the pedals. Still bloody brilliant though.

Tried that. I just can\'t get the hang of it (plus you can\'t left foot brake like that). Its fine for COD but I just can\'t seem to get to grips with it for driving games. I tried swapping the controls about to have accelerate and brake on the triggers too and the gears on X and Square but that was too hard aswell. 3 of my mates have the GT wheels and after trying it you can tell the game was made for use with the wheel. It really does make a big big differance. Still its got me hooked even with the pad!

Like with Motostorm 3D just adds that bit extra to this game very realistic

i borrowed this from my sis bf.. is ok but i think i\'m more used to forza (2). the loading time is anoying.. i say bring back cartridge games like the snes :p
I bought myself this today, got Black op\'s from Santa but not very keen on the online play.

Just put the game in for the first time and its doing an update of 608 MB.
The game takes 5 years to make then I have to download the biggest update I have ever seen, 35 minutes to download.
It better be good.

From then on you won\'t have to hunt through the secondhand dealership for some of the best cars. There\'s an online dealership now, which always sells the Formula GT car :)

I\'ve just won the Furai in a b spec race its amazing. Kenji is that the RZ you can buy in the used section its brilliant when you add all of the tuning upgrades.
I bought it new from the Mazda dealership to be honest. Didn\'t want to wait for a black one to pop up in the used cars section, lol
And I didn\'t do a full tune on it, I made it exactly like my real life FD, so only a sports exhaust and airfilter upgrade, along with (medium) sports suspension kit.
Right now I\'m just grinding money to get the Formula GT car. "Only" 2 million to go......

As I write this my B-Spec driver is going through the Tuning Championship in a Formula GT. Easy money :lol:
I\'ve just reached the Endurance series and quite frankly can\'t be bothered to continue, it may just be I have a short attention span or something but to sit in front of the game for 2-4 hours is in my opinion a waste of my time and just can\'t bring myself or my B spec driver to partake.
Highlights of the game the lovely Mazda\'s the 110 sport cosmo the RX7\'s and the Furai haven\'t won the other one yet and the Lexus concept that can be used for the German DTM fantastic car. The low spots those lardy arsed Nascar things what a waste of time and heap of junk they are and the historic race where you manage to \'bully\' your way through only to crash on the last lap I\'ve given up with that one as well. All in all a good game but have returned to Fallout New Vegas until the seasonal updates come around again.
If found once i had the f1 car on GT3, nothing else seemed fun. Forza is good but i get bored of car games quite easily now. black ops for me.

So how is everyone getting on with this, I\'m upto 27 on A-spec, and my B-drivers are 25,20 and 10, need to build the guys up for the endurance races though. Don\'t think i will sit through many over 3 hours!

My A Spec is at 30 and my driver is at 22. I am trying to get hold of all the Rotary powered cars in the game the 787b sounds great. Will post some pics up of it.
I am unable to build up my levels at the moment, the missus has monopolised the TV for watching endless time team, there\'s only so many west country yokels in bad hats digging up bits of pot and old brick I can watch. Therefore I am off to drive the RX.

I had many attempts at the drifting on the forrest track last night, good for me, I managed 8,500 points or so - dont know what the rank is but im far far far away! :rollin
