Post by: cr33ch on November 14, 2010, 01:39:54 PM
Hello,

i spotted this cable broken in my engine bay by the BMC

At a guess i think its the speedo cable as the speedo has never worked since ive had the car... but id just like some confirmation

if it is where can i pick one up and is there a guide to replacing one anywhere?

Heres some pictures taken with my phone...

older cars were cable driven speedos, not sure on the earlier rx7s though but i would say its looks like it,

that is something you should easily spot in the engine bay though how have you missed that!?

fc is cable driven.
follow it down and see if it goes to the transmission tunnel.
