Title: Rememberance Service 2010
Post by: RXSpeedy on November 13, 2010, 11:37:35 PM
Just wondering if there\'s anymore Military Personel who took part in the Rememberance Service at the Royal Albert Hall tonight? I was performing in a Continuity drill show with my Squadron " The Queens Colour Squadron" RAF Regiment 63 Squadron. Would be good to see if anyone watched the night and what they thought of the acts?

I watched the Service, as always the standard of the Queen\'s Colour Squadron\'s Drill was high.  Wasn\'t in the crowd though.  I was the Guard Officer for the Royal Navy Guard at Armed Forces Day in Cardiff.

Thanks for the compliments. The GSM spoke to our WO and said he was amazed with what we did. Proper hanging out now as we did the Cenotaph this morning as well. Hope you had a good service in Cardiff.

I did Cardiff back in June, although my old ship was back there for this weekend.  I made do with being the only Matelot in Bury St Edmunds.  Your chaps looked smart there too, amusing watching the Yanks do their thing as well.

The GSM in London, WO1 Bill Mott, is what is technically known as a Bloody Big Bloke.  My GI at Cardiff, another bloody big bloke, is a good pal of his and apparently he prefers working with the Sailors and Airmen to the Soldiers as they tend to turn up well prepared for parades and ceremonial duties.  Four of my former shipmates were in the Navy Guard today.
