I got mine from Ebay USA. Though I bought the master and slave at the same time as it was as cheap to do that as to buy a slave cylinder over here.

What condition is the Master cylinder in? I changed the slave on mine thinking it was the problem only to find the Master was leaking too.

Mine looked fine from the outside too. I only ordered the pair cause it was as cheap as buying one or the other over here. Turned out to be a good move! The flexi hose is another place that is common/prone for leaks. The one from the bulkhead to the slave cylinder. Some people change it for a braided hose. Think someone has used an MX5 brake hose as a cheap replacement iirc.

After feeling like a contortionist with my head in the drivers footwell taking out the nuts to replace the clutch master cylinder, a new slave cylinder, plenty of fresh DOT4 fluid and much bleeding later... i have a working rx7 again!  and a smile on my face////:Giggle   God i love backing off the throttle at 4.5k and scaring passers by with the overrun pops and bangs!:Tongue1

just the suspension stud now!

Think he means one of the top four studs that mount the shock to the strut under the bonnet.

Think they are like M8 x 30mm or something like that. Is the thread ok in the shock top plate?

Dunno about your struts in particular, but these are normally just pressed in from the back side of the top plate.  A splined section holds it as an interference fit in the top plate (e.g. same idea as with wheel studs).  To remove it you will need a centre punch on the top of the broken stud and a big club hammer - it should just whack out.  (Be careful - it will likely as not eject all of a sudden rather than being a gradual thing).

Buy a new stud... do NOT be tempted to use a fully-threaded bolt, get a proper stud - remember this is all that\'s holding your suspension legs on the car!

May some like a silly question, but any ideas on where to get a stud from?  I wouldn\'t know where to start looking lol!

If you have one of the old ones in your hand then a motor factors or any main dealer (any make not nec Mazda!) should be able to supply one.

However looking at the factory manual it appears the studs are integral part of the top mount (part number 34-390), and the spring seat will prevent it coming out anyways.  Bummer.  In which case the only way to change the stud is to drop the suspension leg and compress the spring to replace the top mount complete.  :(

Anyone got a leg on the floor they can look at to see if the studs will come out of the top mount?
