Hi all just wondering if there were any monthly meets in east anglia or essex way, wouldnt mind attending one to see the cars and meet the people (even if i was in my bora for now lol).

You missed a good meet at Chelmsford last night. About 10-20 rotary car owners turn up at the venue on the last Friday of each month, arriving form 7.30pm. People come in form the other side of London, Cambridge, Peterborough, so you aren\'t that far away cf others!

Many, but by no means all of the people at the meet, are regular Trackdayers with their rotaries.
lol didnt know anything about it although i was on lates so would of probs all been over by time i got there but will look to see when another one is.
We don\'t normally leave the pub itself until gone 11pm, and even then can be seen loitering in the car park for a while afterwards, even on a bitterly cold night like last night. You\'ll see loads of "8\'s" and the occasional "7" parked up together, in the more remote part of the carpark, just as you enter the pub.
this a monthly thing then as if it is i will try and join you lot, although its a rx7 i want im almost tempted with a rx8 as you can pick them up for same money, might go test drive one or something
They\'ll be loads of RX-7\'s and RX-8\'s at Brands Hatch all day this coming Friday (weather permitting). If you can make it down there, most of us have facilities to give passenger rides, so you can see how the 7\'s and 8\'s perform on track. One of the 7\'s is a Time Attack car running 800bhp......
Entry to the track is free, you just need a helmet (if you want to take passenger rides), which can be hired on the day. Quite a few people are going down to watch, take passenger rides, take pictures, etc. We have ~15 rotary powered cars taking part in the trackday on Friday.
You\'ll certainly be impressed by the 8 on track when you see Clive driving his!
We\'\'ll be there from 7.30am-4pm, then some of us are eating locally after it finishes, to avoid the M25 queues over the bridge....
lol am at work till 2pm will take me over an hour to get there so although i would love to i cant, havent got any holiday left lol, if it was the saturday it would of been perfect!! Damn it
Wow, thread bump... anything else happening like the Chelmsford meet soon?
tbh i think anything in this neck of the woods never happens, ipswich is dead, the closest meets are normally colchester but none for the rx\'s, i wouldnt mind a drive to chelmsford if i knew one was defo going ahead.
The Chelmsford meet is always well attended (it\'s been going for ~ 3years now) and is a regular event on the last Friday of each month. Arrive anytime from 7pm and if you can\'t find our anyone then ask behind the bar for the "RX table".
HOWEVER, as the next meet would fall on Friday 31st December, and our regular haunt wants £30 :eek: up front for New Year meal, it\'s been decided to give the Dec meet a miss. Normally some of us eat, or just have a drink, but the pub is only taking bookings for meals that evening. Besides, many of us will have other parties to attend on New Year\'s Eve!
Next meet will be on Fri 28th Jan. I might not be there though, as my local footie team (ColU) are playing at home that night against Peterborough! They\'ll be plenty of other rotary nuts at the meet though!

well when your next going to one i and im on the right shift i will perhaps meet u at yours first then follow you down to the meet, o on the track day thing my brother is making sure he can get the day off then if its still ok i will come down to yours then get in with you.
