Title: Wheel size change
Post by: soldave on November 06, 2010, 06:02:48 AM
Am doubting there will be any problem, but can someone just confirm this.  I currently have the following on the FC:

FD stock rims - 16x8 +50mm offset, 225/50R16 tyres and a 20mm spacers on the front

And am looking at a new new potential set of wheels with the following:

BBS rims - 16x7.5 +35mm offset 225/50R16 tyres (and the 20mm spacers on front if needed)

Can\'t get my head around the sizing with offset and such.  How much of a difference is that gonna be?

for reference. My advans were 8J +35 on the front and they sat just inwards of flush. So your wheels should sit 0.25 inches further in which is around 6mm. so you should be sitting pretty flush with those spacers.

Though if you\'re running the same size all round, i\'d suggest you pt the spacers o the back as the rears require more offset

Cheers for the advice.  In the end not going for the wheels I first thought about.  Managed to get hold of some R32 GTR wheels which are gonna look pretty nice on it I think.
