Depends on if its an Import or not. Imports are normally 1.3 and Uk cars are 2.6. I had 2 identicial FC\'s both UK ones and one was a 2.4 on the log book and one was a 2.6. DVLA are nuts. Some people have managed to get the cc size changed on the log book from a 2.6 to a 1.3 but I don\'t think they do it anymore. If I were you I\'d try it as a 1.3 and see what happens, they can only say no.

Get it down on there as a 1300cc, the worst thing that can happen is that they change it to a 2600cc. It\'s not a huge saving but it certainly helps :Thumbs-up

Like above, put in 1.3!
The engine size is actualy 1.3 (654cc x2 IIRC) but for some reason the UK like to class them as a 2.6 as they are mysterious black magic enigines that nobody understands......

why do you have to fill in engine size? I lost my log book completely - went into my local DVLA branch and they just ordered it for me and I got an exact replica of the old one in the post. Has something changed now?

i\'m sure it\'s been mentioned before but as the rotary has 2 power cycles per cycle vs piston, one power cycle per cycle, they double the engine cc.
if that makes sense?

i tried to change mine to 1.3 but they need proof / engine number / inspection report (one of the above) as proof.
i think since the rx8 came to play most dvla people were not aware of this so got away with having 1.3 on the v5.

I get new RX7 imports through as 1300cc\'s but not the RX8\'s, lucky for me there\'s no one else around here seems to bother with them :Thumbs-up.  That said my own RX7 was registered as a 2600cc....typical!!
