depends what the serial number of your PFC is matey.

If it starts FD3S1/2/3 then you\'ll be lucky to find one as they were all PFC specific.

If however it starts FD3S4/5/6 then the same Commander will fit all three versions - AND I just happen to have a spare one sitting on my desk in front of me as I type!!! (",)

They do come up on Ebay every now and again, but supply is a bit iffy seeing as Apex\'i are/were in administration. Mostly they are only available now as a package with the PFC. In terms of cost you are looking at ~£200-250 for a brand new one by itself (well thats what they were when I was looking and bought the wrong sodding one!!!).

no probs mate, im not in a rush to sell it!

No, there is a thread on here somewhere that explains it, but basically Apex\'i released to different versions of the PFC for the three models of FD3S RX7. The serial numbers start as below:

Original PFC for \'92 - \'95 = FD3S1
Original PFC for \'96 - \'98 = FD3S2
Original PFC for \'99 - \'02 = FD3S3
New PFC for \'92 - \'95 = FD3S4
New PFC for \'96 - \'98 = FD3S5
New PFC for \'99 - \'02 = FD3S6

Now the original PFCs (FD3S1-3) needed individual Commanders, one for an FD3S3 allegedly wouldn\'t work with an FD3S1, etc etc, although i\'m not convinced!

However, for the new release the Commanders where all universal, i.e one for the FD3S4 would work with both the FD3S5 and 6. Note, the new commanders still won\'t work with the original PFCs (FD3S1-3).

Hopefully i\'ve explained that right!!

more info here: http://mazdarotaryclub.com/forums/showthread.php?t=20024

i\'ve got Commander number 414-x001 which will fit the later release PFCs (FD3S4-6).

I paid £230 for it from Japan, although it now has a couple of tiny scratches on the back after I lent it to a mate! Say £160 posted if it\'s any good for you?

There is also the new commander, but they are expensive.
