Title: interior plastic work - stripping rubber coating. HELP
Post by: adamrogers3091 on October 22, 2010, 11:02:23 PM
Does anyone know the best way to remove the plastic coating on the interior plastics? I\'m looking to sand down to either paint or go for a vinyl film covering of some sort.

So I\'m gonna need:

Time (lots of it from what I hear)
wet & dry sandpaper
Some kind if thinner stuff???

Can anyone suggest somekind of mildly corrosive liquid that could help without being to heavy so that I melt my fingers with acid or bugger up the plastic????

Any help or further advice would be much appreciated

I used degreaser, You could try oven cleaner then wet it down after.
