Post by: joelandrew89 on October 20, 2010, 07:23:11 PM
I was driving my fd today and at a set of lights I gave it a bit of welly and when I changed from 1st to 2nd there was a lot of smoke out of the exhaust so I slowed down and the smoke carried on for another 5-10 seconds then nothing all seemed fine :0@ ?

Could be a blown seal in one of the turbo\'s. My FC used to do it sometimes on high boost. FC\'s are only single turbo though so it was easier to figure out as such.

I would hope that is the case as it\'s a lot cheaper than a rebuild . Fingers crossed .

How does it drive/sound?

That\'s what happened when my side seal jammed, produced so much smoke the cars behind thought I\'d spun on the autobahn and crashed. Car still ran, but didn\'t feel right afterwards.
