Due to pick up my first rx7 in a couple of weeks. Owned nissan pulsar gti-r\'s for the past 12 years the last 2 running full forged engines and pretty heavilly modified 400bhp+. Fancied a change and decided to go for something completely different and looking forward to it.
Car im buying has a wgt built engine, street ported running a single t-78 turbo, and various supporting mods. However, its been used quite infrequently and has been stood for some time so i have a few questions as no experience with rotorys.
Are there likely to be any issues i need to be aware of with a engine thats not been run for a while? Is it just a case of pick it up, resist the urge to see what it can do and get it checked over first and foremost, oil changed ect ect.
Will be looking to run some more boost ect and ideally aiming for 450bhpish. Ive been reading up as much as possible but havent really been able to get a definative list of what parts i will definatly require, already has 1600 secondry injectors, water injection, vmount intercooler/rad, power fc. Will i need upgraded ignition of some description??
Will be looking to do a fair few track days and drag racing so hopefully will be able to meet up with a few people over time.

Depending on how long its been stood, get it serviced and checked over by a specialist. On the way home resist any serious peddle to the floor action and take it easy.
