My RX-8 is just about due a service, although despite searching this forum and the rest of the internet, I\'ve been unable to find any recommendations for Mazda servicing in Lincolnshire/East Midlands.
I have read good things about Rotechniks Re:Worx, although both of there are more than 2 1/2 hours drive away and I\'m not sure either of them deal in anything other than performance mods.
So, any recommendations other than taking it to the nearest dealer? I\'m also looking to have the clutch throw-out bearing replaced, which I expect the dealer will charge handsomely for.
Norton Way in Letchworth are an excellent dealer - not sure if that\'s still too far?
Have a look but your nearest may well be Hurley Engineering or Hayward Rotary North, however with that said apart from engine work or tech problems any competent local garage will be able to carry out normal servicing and standard repairs on your RX-8.
Hope this helps
we are near chester , still a little drive away
Thanks everyone - I think Hayward Rotary North may be my best bet, as Doncaster is only about an hours drive away for me. Norton Way and Hurley Engineering are both 2 hours +, and I\'m afraid Silverstone Autosport is nearly 3 hours drive!
I have been tempted to take it to a local garage, but being the fussy type, I\'ve never taken any of my cars to anything other than garages that deal specifically in certain brands of car.
I\'m sure you\'re right when you say that it makes little difference what garage I use for for servicing, as it\'s only basic work, but then again I\'m not sure I\'d be able to sleep comfortably at night :Snoring
If you wanted we could still send you a rx8 service pack over to you ???
I can recommend Steve @ Hayward North / MX5 Motors :)

Hi mate, if you\'d like me to PM you my address so you can send me a pack then please do let me know, although the prices would need to be pretty tempting for me to make the 2 and 3/4 hour journey to you!
FWIW, I\'m also looking at having a new throw out bearing fitted at the same time (old one noisy and nasty feedback through clutch pedal). The car has only done 28k, but it may also make sense to fit a new clutch plate while it\'s apart.
give us a call tomoz , be the best idea for the price etc ..
cheers rich
Rich, you have mail from me to the address listed on your site. I wouldn\'t want to get your hopes up too much, as I still fear that the distance between us may be a little much, but as I say, if the price is attractive enough. Would be looking to have the work done in the next couple of months, hopefully before Xmas if funds permit.
yeah sound fella , will check it over tomoz when i get to work , and will give you a call if you have left your number ....
